From the creators of the classic Tribal Wars game, InnoGames released Forge of Empires in 2012, a 2D browser-based strategy game, which was also made accessible to iOS and Android two and three years later, respectively. It’s time for you to experience history once more by ruling a territory through various stages of human civilization. You are tasked to establish your own city from a small village during the Stone Age and develop it into a mighty empire during the modern times.
You'll end up a king or a lord with the appropriate strategy, diplomacy, and military to make a mark in history while you dominate the playing field in different times. Grab the chance to conquer other cities to grow your empire and challenge other players to win in battles. Additionally, the valuable resources you can gain could be used to build your empire while you lead it from the humble beginning during the old days to the modern times.
If you're a big fan of online strategy games, you'll definitely enjoy playing Forge of Empires. However, it is important that you have a well-planned city if you wish to play the game efficiently and have its full potential. When you grow and manufacture your resources, you could support your inhabitants and sustain your troops that will secure your territory or take down other settlements near you.
Forge Points are also important so that you can conduct research and move your empire ahead. Use them well when you discover new technologies, trade your goods, or level up the Great Buildings. You can await another hour if you run out of them so that you can get replenishment of one Forge Point or you can also buy using coins or Diamonds if you are in a rush. When you are all 10 Forge Points, you will stop receiving them so you've got to utilize them in your quests, specially when doing research for new technologies.
In all honesty, I'm not into strategy games since I favor casual and puzzle games if I want a few minutes off from my busy schedule. However, the game got me a little curious since it is quite different from other strategy games that I am accustomed to. So Forge of Empires PC made a decision to give it a shot and see for myself how good it is to keep on playing or just stop and proceed to other games.
The game has a humble beginning during the Stone Age and it becomes more and more interesting as I play along since one of its features is expanding territories. Players aren't just restricted to play inside the City but they could see the bigger world outside and discover what is beyond the territory. As I go on to play to be able to grow and develop my City, there's not adequate space left for me to add more buildings.
But the thing is that exploration and expansion are no easy job as the outside territories aren't unoccupied and, if you’re not lucky enough, you may face hostile inhabitants. That is why you have to train your troop and build a strong army in order to easily conquer new territories and win battles against the occupants. Negotiating can be one of your alternatives so you have got to test your skills well in talking with other players so that you can gain control of a certain territory.
Even though I want to make things fast, time is a limited resource so I should patiently wait for the next step. While doing so, I have to check what I have while I also add more buildings when possible and train an extra army to improve my troop. The game has various features that will intrigue you when you have started playing it, making it more interesting and challenging. Also, it's not just the strategy that you will develop when you play along but there are other skills you will improve and I would like you to discover them by downloading the game and playing it on your own.
